Upper Intermediate “orta ileri düzey” demektir. Yani gelişmişin bir öncesidir. Advanced seviyesine çıkmak oldukça zordur. Anadil kadar iyi konuşabilmek gerekir. Upper Intermediate konularını çalışırken dikkatli olmalısınız. Çünkü bu konular kolay görünen ancak detayları olan konulardır. İyice zihninize yerleşmesi gerekir bu konuların. Evet, gramer konuları kurallara dayalıdır ancak gramer kurallarını özümsemezseniz konuşurken ve okurken yanlışlar yapacaksınız.
Upper Mediate Ne Demektir?
Upper Intermediate orta ileri düzey ingilizce demektir. Upper Intermediate düzeyde ingilizce bildiğinizde günlük hayattaki konuşmaları anlar, okuduklarınızın %70’ini anlarsınız. Upper Intermediate seviyesinde olan bir kişi bir elementary öğrencisine göre çok daha fazla kelime bilir. Ve dili kullanma hakimiyeti de daha fazladır. Ingilizce konuşurken çok fazla düşünmez ve İngilizce düşünmeyi öğrenmiştir. Akademik olarak da İngilizceyi kullanabilirler. Sunum yapıp, üniversitede eğitim görebilirler. Üniversitede makale yazacak kişiler Academic Writing adlı bir ders alırlar. Bu ders sayesinde daha da iyi yazarsınız.

“An important medical magazine has recently published a long report arguing that too much physical exercise can be harmful to people’s health. For many years, doctors have tried to convince people that regular exercise is a healthy habit. However, after careful studies, they have found strong evidence that too much exercise can have damaging effects on the body. The report does not deny the benefits of exercising. On the contrary, it emphasizes once more the fact that physical exercise can make an important contribution to a healthy life style. The report also argues that it is important to exercise regularly in order to prevent heart disease, obesity, or depression. However, apart from listing the advantages of regular exercise, the report draws attention to some negative aspects of too much exercising. “

Burada da when ve until konularını bilmeniz gerek. Ayrıca “how to do” orada alakasız bir kalıp. “What to do” olmalı. Cevap yine C olmalı.

Gramer ve tense sorusu ile karşı karşıyayız. Future tense ve past tense bir araya gelemez. C’yi eledik. Would ve Will de yanyana gelemez, eledik. Cevap B olmalı: Söylemezsen, çığlık atacağım!
